I had this feeling that the anime-style catholic school girl theme and triangles theme would go well together. Bingo! I was totally right. Now, I leave the symbolic nature of this photoshoot to your imagination; don't forget to look at the post's title as well.

I'm wearing: a H&M hat, thrifted shirt & dress, a SammyDress.com brooch & bag, a RoseWholesale.com Hooded Faux Fur Coat & Vintage Patent Leather and Slip-On Design Flat Shoes and Gatta tights.

I've been searching for a concept to set these led sneakers in for quite a long time. Finally, I found this little passage with matching neon installation and a retro circular window that we put to good use, composition-wise. I hope you'll enjoy this play on different sources of light as much as me and my friend behinf the camera did during the photoshoot - shooting was fun and the results came off better than we expected.

I'm wearing: a H&M hat, skull ring & faux fur coat, thrifted T-shirt and pants, a Sinsay necklace, and Shoes With Lights Up Led Luminous and Tie Up Design from SammyDress.com.

The Librarian, part 2

The previous photoshoot turned out to produce a bit more material than we expect due to a sudden change of mind when it came to location. This abandoned building was standing right next to us, so we took a couple of experimental shots there as well and... they were great! They had completely different mood than what you have seen in the latest post, so cramming all these photos together made no sense to me. Especially since the shot above is pretty enough to be a main picture (you gotta admit). It has that fashion editorial feel that deserved its own portion of love. So, let's just say that the Librarian has strayed from his usual path and found a nice place to relax for a while.

I'm wearing: a H&M hat & brogues, thrifted turtleneck and blazer, Monki pants, a SIX watch and a SammyDress.com brooch & bag.

The Librarian, part 1

Truth to be told, I decided to revolve more around projecting concepts, as opposed to simply showing fun wearable outfits, which is what I've been doing so far. As an artist, I thought it'd be a natural way for me to keep on being interested in this whole blogging thing. I am well prepared. I made a list of ideas that I plan to illustrate and discuss with my photographers thoroughly before moving onto actual realisation. After checking the first point out of my list, I went for a more masculine concept of a retro librarian, who might be a bit old-fashioned, but not out of fashion at all; actually, he consequently rocks his monochromatic style on his way back home as if rebelling against fall's vibrant colours.

The Librarian happenned to stray from his usual path and thus found a little suprise by accident, so you should expect a sequel to this photoshoot in the next post.

I'm wearing: a H&M hat & brogues, thrifted turtleneck and blazer, Monki pants, a SIX watch and a SammyDress.com brooch & bag.

The Obligatory Halloween Post

I don't have that much to say today, to be honest. If you have noticed that these photos have been styled differently than my other photoshoots - good! You're right, I'm going to change the way I show my face to the interwebs soon. Expect something fresh and funky happening to this blog and my overall online presence.
Other than that, I am leaving you with this year's Halloween post. The theme is clearly K-pop, since - please remember - there is always Halloween in K-pop. Well, sort of. Part of this edgy outfit is a courtesy of Zaful, who sent me some totally cute items again... if a bloodlike choker, a sweater chain and platform heels can be called cute, that is... For me, they're super cute. Deal with it. I love them!

Recent faves

There are some outfits that I really do have to plan out thoroughly. This one, however, wasn't the case. I just threw together all of the pieces I've been loving recently and, magically, they created something pretty coherent. Basically, it's just a mix of recent faves. It might seem a bit too much for some, considering all that leather, gold and a huge red accent, but honestly, I don't care, there's nothing wrong with being a bit too much from time to time.

Let's break it down into pieces. First off, there's the hat that I've been wearing almost everyday since I bought it two months ago. Then, there is my first wig that I'm still very reluctant to part with (it's really damaged), so I just teased the hell out of it for some witchy chic that I'm kind of into these days. The oversized bomber jacket, a.k.a the most k-pop outerwear you can imagine, is my precious latest thrifted find.

Look at this red piece that might be taken as a tunic or a dress, depending on whether you can see the shorts underneath it or not - I am just so in love with it that I'm definitely going to wear it with leggings when it gets colder soon. I've been dreaming about a red dress like that for years and ain't the weather stopping me from wearing it now that I got it!

Finally, there's this edgy backpack that I fell for the moment I've seen the golden snake skin print and the studs at the sides. I hope it turns out to be durable since it's yet another thing that I can't seem to stop wearing even when it seems out of place, because really, why not take this tiny bit of swag out for grocery shopping? I see no problem with this.

I'm wearing a H&M hat and (thrifted) jacket, Red Long Sleeve Breasted DressEmbossing Color Matching Rivet Satchel and Velvet Hollow Out Choker from Zaful and SIX rings.

City Witch

We still have a long way to go before Halloween, but don't you think that I look a bit like a modern witch here? I've got long hair, I'm wearing a big hat and lots of black, and I do have my own magical artefact that you're going to see a few photos below. The level of sass is also appropriate.

Lately I've been obsessing over black-and-white stripes, be it on home decor, accessories or, in this case, clothes. I managed to get a few nice pieces with this kind of print, and this shirt is a new highlight of my wardrobe. I guess it adds a bit of a chic feeling to the outfit.

Last, but not least: the book-shaped bag. I've been waiting for the opportunity to show it here for SOOO LONG. I do have some more ideas on how to incorporate it in my sets, including some adorable librarian-like boyish ones, however, this outfit was just a perfect opportunity to introduce it. Apart from fitting into the witchy theme, it contributed to the golden accent concept, together with my collar, watch and new huge sunglasses.

#ootd recap: 05.09.2016 - 09.09.2015

Hi there! As I mentioned recently, I spent a couple of days at the seaside. The mood there was really completely different than what I'm used to - I am definitely a city person, so the easy-going atmosphere near the sea was quite a shock to me. What is really shocking, though, is what this change has done to my style! The outfits I wore were just as relaxed as I were, but then, they still maintained that trendy K-pop flare... or that's how I see it, haha. I decided to took a photo of the illustration this time instead of scanning it, since my scanner is slooowly dying (after 12 years...) and my new phone seems to have a surprisingly good camera!

  • Monday: I threw this beautiful marine-themed bomber jacket on a striped tee and sweatpants base. Then, I added a big hat and creepers and I was ready to travel with style.
  • Tuesday: something I wore for my first actual walk through the seashore: a simple dress with a flannel on and some edgy details.
  • Wednesday: I got these thin faux leather suspenders not so long ago and haven't really learnt how to pin them onto my pants so that they look good yet, but they work just fine with skirts! Also, I love mixing leopard print with red tartan print, I should do it for a photoshoot someday.
  • Thursday: the outfit from the previous post, but with a bomber jacket on top. It turned out completely unnecessary though, as they day was super hot :(
  • Friday: this time, I mixed the sweatpants with a simple oversized T-shirt, but the hat and the creepers still made this look interesting.

Sunday is for sweatpants

I just got back from my last summer trip this year and mentally, I'm still not quite in the big city realm. The seaside made me forget about my usual skinny jeans or just any pants with zippers and/or buttons - I switched them all for this pair of sweatpants that, I must admit, looks pretty classy with a wide brim hat and a heavy wristwatch. Plus, the pictures were shoot on Sunday, and we all know that Sundays are for wearing sweatpants all day.

The thing is, it's about 10°C hotter here anyway, so loose clothes are the only option to survive... this, and lots of iced lattes and lemonades (like the one that I've got as a prop for this shoot. So sour, yum!).

Yes, I kind of don't have that much to say this time, but the post wouldn't be complete without mentioning this super cute T-shirt I've bought recently. As flannels are not an option during this kind of weather, I opted for some lighter tops and that's how I noticed that I lack a bit in the tees department. Sure, I do have some good thrifted ones, but I've seen this one while shopping for sweatpants and took it to the fitting room without much thinking. I do not expect it to last very long, as it isn't exactly top quality, but then - I've been wearing it nearly non-stop during last weeks, which of course requires washing it every other way with this heat wave outside, and it's still intact, so... I may be wrong.

I'm wearing an H&M hat, Sinsay sunglasses, tee & sweatpants, a SIX watch and a choker worn as a bracelet & creepers that I bought on Ebay.

Drink Your Milk

Summer is officially over, but here I am with the last proper summery outfit. This time, I built the whole look around its centerpiece: my new bag in a shape of a retro milk carton. It was much smaller than I expected, so it worked pretty well as a cute little accessory to something much more sugary than what you're used to see here on the blog - both theme- and colour-wise.

Now you can see the outfit as a whole. Whoah! A girly post with PANTS! This pair makes me look a lot curvier than I really am, but it doesn't really matter; it has the attitude that I expect from my clothes and gives a chic 60's flare to the otherwise candy-like outfit. Still, the set missed a strong accent, so I pinned a pretty brooch (that I got from SammyDress.com) underneath my collar.

Finally, let's talk about the main piece of this photoshoot: the purse. As I already said, it turned out to be tiny, but hey - I usually use it as an organiser for small stuff in a big tote bag anyway. It works out really well, since it's really quite stiff and solid (so it doesn't get squished under the crapton of things I carry around). And don't even get me started on the super cute print on the front (the sides contain funny Engrish text that I'm not going to share... or maybe I will?). Which reminds me - the new school year has just started for some of you, so stay healthy and remember to always drink your milk.

I'm wearing a New Look straw hat, a thrifted cardigan, shirt and pants, no-name sandals, a SIX watch, Crossbody Bag With Milk Box Shape and Canvas Design and Round Embellished Black Bowknot Shape Women's Brooch from SammyDress.com.

Secret Garden

Colour-wise, this whole post belongs more to the fall season, but the truth is that it was shot in the first half of July. The whole background also isn't what it seems to be. If you thought this is some kind of a secluded green getaway spot... you were wrong. Actually, these are some unattended bushes and an abandoned building right behind my workplace, but y'know, as usual, Klara pulled off her staple magic trick with her camera that makes every place look amazing - in this case, like a lush secret garden. What a magician.

That day, I came to work wearing this k-pop-ish set and long wig. Somehow, this unusually feminine version of myself got a very warm welcoming among my workmates, which made me a very happy person, since I'm actually a bit hesitant when it comes to showing my female self to the world. But then, just look at the confidence radiating from this outfit - a bright hat, glamorously long hair, a sporty dress paired with a flashy choker, fishnet tights... A simple backpack (that is yet another gift from SammyDress.com and, so far, the most durable one - I've been wearing it almost daily) served both as a match to the warm tone of the hat and a useful accessory - I swear, I packed A LOT inside.

Riiiight, the high-tops. This must be the first time you see me wearing sport shoes, but buying them was a must - my ankle got bitten by a spider and thus was in a bad need of anything that would firmly support my foot (all the footwear I own lacks in this department) so that I could walk at all. I swear, I was dreaming of a pair like this for a long time, since high-tops are the most k-pop shoes I can imagine. I was just waiting for the right moment to switch into these from my usual oxfords/creepers. Thank you, Mr. Spider.

I'm wearing a H&M hat & high-top sneakers, a New Look dress, a SIX watch and a Women's Satchel With PU Leather and Solid Color Design from SammyDress.com.
